Focus and Scope
The aim of Materials for Mental Health (MMH) is to pioneer, integrate, and translate materials science innovations to address unmet needs in mental health care, improve diagnostic accuracy, enhance treatment efficacy, and support long-term mental well-being. It seeks to advance mental health outcomes by examining how tailored materials can be designed and applied to bridge gaps between materials engineering and mental health practice—while emphasizing scientific rigor, clinical feasibility, and patient-centric value.
The journal accepts original research papers, reviews, communications, and perspectives covering, but not limited to, the following topics:
- Bio-materials and Neuro-engineering
- Drug Delivery Systems for Mental Health
- Smart Responsive Materials for Mental Health Applications
- Bio-sensing and Diagnostics for Mental Disorders
- Tissue Engineering and Neural Regeneration for Mental Health
